25th January 2009

This day will definitely make it into my Top 10 Most Walking Day!!
I do not wish to go into the details but I can definitely assure u that I have probably explored the whole Singapore Polytechnic (inside and outside of the campus) as well as the Singapore Polytechnic Graduate Guild (OMG!! it's like a resort in there)!

I believe not even a 3rd year student in there have ever explored the whole school...
Even if dey have, I don't think dey managed to do it in one day!!! (">)

Chingay!!

It's finally the day!!
OMG!!! I was there like so early (though not as early as all the committee members but earlier than most participants), standing under the scorching sun was nothing compared to the hard work put in by the organizers!!!
and here i am watching as the big day ( actually it's a night) creeping in silently ....

One hour before the procession...

People starting to gather around to be a part of this meaningful event.

I think the whole JB is here! WOW! Just look at those ant-like people...
My advice: Never walk against the human flow!

The wait is finally over...

Remember the half-done float? It's now all done!

East meets West?

Senior citizens not to be messed with!!

It certainly take a lot of skills to balance these gigantic flag! These acrobats are really something!
Kudos to the job well done!!

no title...

It's been a while since i slept early...

I spent my time mostly facing my 14.1 inch wide screen( i never really measured it) on my laptop. and my mum will come...

" Girl ah..."

"OK" I snapped before she could finish her sentence...

Everyone around seems to be gone... Everyone!

Even Serene is going to leave next Friday! Leaving me alone in the land of good n bad memories...

Who shall I confide in when I have problems?
My parents?
No way! They wouldn't take my words for serious...
You still have the internet and phone!
Yea, I know... but nothing beats talking face-to-face...
Go visit them?
"Great idea!" When some is across the causeway, some in the happening place and some in the Down Under!

I don't know what God has in store for me...

I m like the shell stuck on the seashore and not knowing when the waves will hit you or when u'll b washed back into the sea...

I can't wait for Chingay!!! :)

It's the time of the year again! Chingay!! When I was a kid, I loved this day because of the obvious attraction...SWEETS!!! Ever since I took part in this very meningful event, (My first participation was in 2003 and this year is my 6th year) be it behind-the-scene or parading with my face painted like u can never imagined, I have come to understand the true meaning of the event!! it's not just about the glamour looking parade but it's the faith in GOD that u see on every faces that makes it one of its kind...
The street parade is held on the 21st day of the first month in the lunar calendar... Everyone enjoyed the beautifully decorated floats and obviosly kids will be screaming their heads of to gain the attention of "fairies", ( I was one of them years ago...), that gives out sweets and other goodies to children...

Let me take you behind-the-scene,(not many ppl knows bout all the hardwork and perspiration)
BEHIND-THE-SCENE

Behind-the-scene : One of the decorated floats. Still under construction.

Have u seen so much aluminium foil being used at one time? and this is just part of it... and the reason is...

see!I've contributed my part!!

Me in the worksite.

A day b4 the parade, ppl gather at the temple to offer their prayings.

When I say ppl, it's actually ppl-sssss!
U can nvr imagined the amount of ppl in the incense-conjested temple!

A temporary food market put up with so much look-and-drool food!

One of my favourite stall!

Eager to see Chingay but u are on the other side of the world?
No worries! I'll keep my blog updated on the latest news and many more pic of the Chingay!
Hope you enjoyed it!

I've always dreaded morning... even when it's not a school day...
After weeks and weeks of "rotting" at home, I think I am starting to miss school (actually my classmates only...erika, carey, rachel, serene, jasmynn, hema and the rest... I miss all of you!!!)

I also misses my second school..or maybe home...

OMEGA TUITION CENTRE
It has been my second home for sooooo many years that I practically spent all my weekends and some of my weekday there... aaaaahhhh....
Speaking of Omega, there are so many memories pinned on its wall, carved on its pillar, and embossed on its whiteboard...
the familiar room with filled with chattering and laughter like a morning market is one that I'll never forget...
Another thing, my beloved tuition teachers who looked stern and yet their humorous side always prevails after some time makes me feel very fortunate indeed to be in their class...

Some funny moments that has been our chatting topic since forever...

Mr. Yong: 1) Eh, class look here... U all don't do, do, do then don't listen. (Nobody looking at
him) Oooi class look here (tapping his marker on the whiteboard).
2) U all press the square root of a negative no. in ur calculator, I like that ar..
(Laughing in the heart)

Mr. Lim : 1) Wo mei you jiang hua! (classic)

Some funny moments in my class...

Mrs. Transpanrency-and-projector:
1) Girls: Teacher, how to draw the graph?
Teacher: Draw lah!
Girls: Teacher, how to do this question?
Teacher: Do lah! haiya, dis one sejarah redi!
2) Girls! I don't want to see any thing on ur table!
3) Take out ur book 3!

En. Shrek a.k.a. Green Fingers: 1) Abi, panggilan ke-10! (actually he jus called twice)

Mrs Bio forever : 1) (imitating yawn), Good morning?! Where u go last night?!

Mrs Rambut Senget: 1) Girls, (whispering) can u all pls keep quiet? I tore my shoulder muscle
I am still in pain...

Mrs eh-malas-la : 1) Rujuk dalam buku teks!

Mrs discipline-library-english and semangat xavier forever...:
1) Ooooi... Pasar ka?

2) I speak the Queen's English...
I have taken some photos of KL city during my school vacation ...
It may not be as good as a professional, I hope you don't mind... :-)
But it does look professional to me..hahahaha!

Here's some of the delicious and affordable food you can find around Malaysia and Singapore...

Sunway Pyramid (Slgor)
Bugis Junction (S'pore)

J.Co Donuts & Coffee
New outlet in Johor Bahru, City Square
The appearance of the donuts are so appealing that you can wait to try every flavours available...
The rich coating with soft fluffy center making it simply unable to resist!
